You are kindly invited to participate in the Nordic-Baltic Green Growth Forum 'Planning resilient and liveable regions. Urban-rural interactions', which seeks ways to apply efficient planning methods and develop models to deliver a sustainable living environment both in urban and rural regions.

The plan is nothing. Planning is everything. Modern society incorporates lots of dynamics that require constant rethinking and re-planning in order to sustain the quality of our living environment. A wide range of economic, cultural, environmental and social aspects needs to be embraced when catering for the needs of the future.

In order to achieve active engagement, we shall set up three parallel working sessions. We aim for fruitful discussions, presenting key factors that ought to be considered when planning for green sustainable regions and showcasing good examples of holistic cooperation models where smart and inclusive approaches have delivered good results. Workgroups will focus on finding solutions for smart governance, resource efficiency and societal changes in modern living environment.
The workshop is designed by the Nordic Council of Ministers, PLEEC (Planning For Energy Efficient Cities), Tartu City, the Estonian University of Life Sciences, the Association of Local Authorities in Tartu County, Tartu Regional Energy Agency, Nordregio (Nordic Centre for Spatial Development) and the University of Tartu.

Kindly reserve this date in your calendars and register to the forum latest on 22 September.
