In 2016, 11 projects received funding from programme for NGOs in Baltic Sea Region, for altogether approximately 5 million DKK. The year was extremely successful for Estonian applicants: an Estonian NGO was leading partner in one of the projects and in four projects Estonian organisations were cooperation partners.

The project „Informal methodology in work with abused children“ is lead by Tartu Child Support Centre, with partners from Norway, Finland and Russia. The aim of the project is to share knowledge and skills among specialists and experts working with sexually exploited and abused children. This is carried out via joint seminars, conference and site visits.

As partners, there were four organisations participating in projects that received funding: MTÜ Väike Jalajälg (Project „PolyCulture: Food Resilience through Biodiversity in Local Communities“), MTÜ Uus Sild (project „People's Parks: Involving Residents in Urban Design“), MTÜ Naiste Tugi-ja Teabekeskus (project „Development of the Russian effective cooperation model of NGOs and governmental structures for providing comprehensive help to gender-based violence victims“) and MTÜ Arvamusfestival (project „Baltic Sea Region - People Meeting Platform&Partnership“).
