Travel support
Can musical groups, choirs, groups of artists and the like apply for support?
Applications can only be submitted on an individual basis, not for groups.
Is travel support available for trips to countries like Germany and the UK?
Applications for support can only be lodged for travel to the Nordic countries and the Baltic States.
Does travel support also cover accommodation costs?
Travel support is designed to cover the costs of spending one week in the country of destination.
Can travel support be used to pay for on-site training and studies at schools, colleges and universities in the Nordic countries?
Applications can be lodged for travel support for short courses.
Is travel support allocated to those wishing to attend trade fairs and festivals?
Yes: applications can be submitted for travel support in order to attend trade fairs, festivals, seminars and conferences.
Project support
How many partners need to be involved in a project?
At least three partners from the Nordic countries and/or the Baltic States must be involved in cooperation projects.
Can partners from other countries also be involved, in addition to those from the Nordic countries and Baltic States?
Yes. Cooperation with partners from other countries may be referenced in applications in addition to the three named partners.
How long should short-term projects last?
Short-term projects last for one year.
What kind of period should long-term projects last for?
Long-term projects should last for at least three years.
If support is allocated to a short-term project, does that automatically mean that support will also be allocated to a long-term programme?
Support for short-term projects does not automatically extend to the continuation of activities in long-term projects. However, applications for support can be submitted.
When can project activities begin?
Activities can begin on the day following the deadline for applications.
Does the working time spent dealing with a project count as self-financing?
Yes. Working time comes under self-financing as set out in the budget. The ratio of the cost of working time to other project costs must be reasonable.
The programme is administered by Nordic Culture Point in Finland. It accepts the applications and arranges the following procedures, including payment of grants.
