In 2012 the priority is given to projects promoting climate, environment and sustainable development. The subsidies vary from 20,000 to 100,000 DKK. Projects that have co-financing will be viewed favourably. Co-funding may be given as a monetary contribution, either directly by the applicant or indirectly through a third party (organisation/partner/donor/authority) towards the project. To be considered as co-funding the contribution needs to be directly linked to the budgetary framework provided and be an integral part of the application and the specific activities within this and provided before or during the implementation period. In-kind contributions, such as use of space, staff time or equipment, is not considered as co-funding. Proposals with a part of the budget cofinanced by the applicant or a third party will be viewed favourably. It should be clearly stated that the project is, partly or wholly, financed by the NCM. The programme is administrated by the NCM's office in Estonia. Please direct any queries to Merle Kuusk, phone: +372 627 31 05, e-mail: merle.kuusk(at)norden.ee. Deadline for applications in 2012 is March 30. |

Nordic-Baltic Non-Governmental Support Programme
|
The Nordic governments are convinced that cooperating with non-governmental organisations (NGO) in the Baltic Sea region enhances networking, prosperity and democracy. To promote these aspirations the governments asked the Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM) to establish the NGO Programme. In Estonia the legal form of a non-governmental organisation is usually a non-profit association or foundation. The NCM expects applications from NGOs and foundations working in public interest, and which strive for increasing social cohesion and strengthening civil society. At least three parties have to cooperate, and at least one of them from a Nordic country. The third NGO can be from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia or from a Nordic country. Proposals including partners from three or more countries will be viewed favourably. |
