Leelo Tungal

Estonian poetess, children’s writer and translator was born in 1947. She is one of the most popular and productive children’s writers in Estonia. In 2002 two of her poetry collections were published: Käsi on valge ja süda must. Luulet 1963-2002 (Hand is White and Heart is Black, Poetry of 1963-2002) and Kõige ilusam ema (The Most Beautiful Mother). In 2003 she published two books: Anna ja Aadama lood (Anna’s and Adam’s Stories) as an additional reading material for ABC-book and Siri Siriuselt (Siri from Sirius). She has also translated Hannu Mäkelä’s verses from the book Master.
