Information day on personnel work in the public sector

The Estonian Ministry of Finance and the Centre for Development and Training of the Public Service of the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences are organising an information day on personnel work for personnel managers and specialists in public departments and local governments and county and city secretaries. The event is designed to promote best practice and debate topical issues and new trends in personnel work within the public service.

The main topics covered on the day will be:

  • an overview of legal advisory services related to the Public Service Act;
  • an overview of the implementation of the central training programme for 2010-2011 and information on the drafting of the programme for 2012-2013;
  • an introduction to the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration and the experiences of the people implementing it (Madis Kanarbik, the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Estonia); and
  • an outline of the amendments to the 'Development of the organisation' and 'Apprenticeship programme' sub-measures of the 'Greater administrative capacity' priority measure.

Attendance: Free of charge for representatives of the target group.
