Nordic TasteDuring the recent years the Nordic countries surprised the world with the achievements of their chefs and restaurants. Suddenly a small region in the North joined the biggest cuisines of the world.

What makes the Nordic cuisine special? What is the key of its attractiveness: simple approach, variety of products, the way they are combined? Can it be that increased popularity of the Nordic cuisine has to do with Nordic inhabitants' overall interest in food culture and tendency for cooking different and interesting food?

Together with Lithuanian chefs, who went on traineeship to the best Nordic restaurants, the Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Lithuania is going to investigate the Nordic taste. Rasa Sceponiene, the editor of the magazine Geras skonis (Good Taste) will lead them through.

The guests of the event believe that Lithuanian chefs can find and adapt some useful things from the experience of the Nordic cuisine, and may be one day Lithuania will also appear on the map of the world cuisines.

The entrance is free of charge. Language of the event is Lithuanian.
