Everybody is invited to join an inspiring conference about innovation, smart specialisation and growth in the Baltic Sea Region.

The aim of the conference is to give a shared vision of Smart Specialisation and how it can pave the way for regional development and growth. The tools and processes to achieve smart specialisation will be presented by some of the leading actors in the field. The conference will also show how EU funding can be used smarter. The importance of alignment of a wider source of finance and cooperation will be showcased.

The conference will present the results of a new study covering innovation in the Baltic Sea Region. Speakers within the field from European, National and Regional level will cover areas including creative industries, sustainable cities, clusters, personal health and active aging. The conference is linked to the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, Europe 2020 Smart Growth and the Innovation Union.

Target audience for the conference is policy makers and officials, innovation agencies, cluster leaders and academia, as well as financial organisation and Structural Fund Managing Authorities. Approximately 350 participants are foreseen.
