Presentation of the "Stoltenberg Report"

The International Centre for Defence Studies and the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Estonia are pleased to invite you to a presentation of the "Stoltenberg Report" on the future prospects of Nordic cooperation on foreign and security policy, which will be followed by a discussion..

In June 2008, Mr Thorvald Stoltenberg, former Norwegian Foreign Minister, was asked by incumbent Nordic foreign ministers to paint a vision of the future of the Nordic countries’ common foreign and security policy for the next 10–15 years. He delivered his report on February 9, 2009. Since then, it has become a subject of heated discussion and has evoked a strong resonance in all Nordic countries.

The report will be presented by Mr Sverre Jervell, Senior Adviser to the Norwegian Foreign Ministry and a co-author of the report.The discussion panel will be moderated by Riina Kaljurand, Deputy Director of the ICDS.
