As part of the celebrations marking its 90th anniversary, the Estonian Research Institute of Agriculture is organising a conference titled "Society and Agricultural Science". The first day of the conference will focus on the development of agriculture, including bioenergy as an alternative to fossil fuels and the sustainable agricultural development.

The second day of the conference will form part of the Nordic Council of Ministers programme New Nordic Food. Denmark, which holds the presidency of the NCM in 2010, has set the promotion of food from the region in Estonia as one of its priorities. The New Nordic Food programme is represented in the NCM's Office in Estonia by adviser Grete Kodi.

The invitation for the conference can be found here.
