Public Administration's mobility program opens up for participants from Ukraine

According to the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Committee for Cooperation (NSK) decision from 25 May 2023, and the decision of the Steering Group of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration, the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration opens up for participants from Ukraine to take part in the Nordic-Baltic projects supported by the mobility programme 2023-2025.

The Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration offers a possibility for Ukrainian representatives of public administration from local governments and state institutions to participate in this mobility programme. This initiative for Ukrainian participants is open for a period of 2023-2025.

 

The Russian invasion and war in Ukraine triggered one of the most rapidly growing crises in Europe since World War II. The Nordic and Baltic countries have clearly stated that they are willing to help Ukraine in this ongoing humanitarian catastrophe and to support the integration of Ukraine in the European democratic development. The Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration offers a possibility for Ukrainian representatives of public administration from local governments and state institutions to participate in this mobility programme. The purpose of the initiative is to enable a safe and secure space for Ukrainian employees of public administration to explore their fields of activity and to promote their professional networks with the Nordic and Baltic region. The funding will help to facilitate dialogue between the sector of public administration in Ukraine and the Nordic and Baltic countries.

The requirements:

Projects/applications from Nordic and/or Baltic organisations to the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration are welcome to include 1-2 participants from corresponding public administration organisations of Ukraine per project/application;

General guidelines of the moblity programme are to be followed;

All project activities have to take place in the Nordic and/or Baltic countries;

Financing principles of the projects remain the same as indicated in the guidelines of the mobility programme (min. 40% co-financing of the applying organisation, max. 60% financing from the allocated grant of the mobility programme).

The new application round for Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Public Administration opens on 15 August 2023, deadline: 31 October 2023.

The programme offers grants for mobility and networking, the annual budget of the mobility programme, app. 200 000 EUR, is financed by all NB8 countries – Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden. The purpose of the programme is to promote and strengthen cooperation, exchange of knowledge, and networking between public administration structures on all administrative levels in the Nordic-Baltic Region. The programme aims to facilitate the harmonization of more efficient working methods in the public sector. The overall goal is to increase the global competitive power of the region.
