A Christmas village in the Nordics A Christmas village in the Nordics norden.org

We invite everyone to visit the Nordic Christmas Village, on December 22 and 23 from 11:00 to 18:00 at Äkkeküla, Ida-Virumaa. You will find an entertainment and sports programme prepared by participants from the Nordic countries, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

“This year's event is held in co-operation with the Integration Foundation and the Nordic Council of Ministers, therefore, our goal is to introduce the Nordic Christmas traditions to the locals and guests of the village” says Artyom Polyak, mayor of the Christmas Village. "Every year we try to improve this event to surprise the guests of the village. For example, this year at 12:00 and 4:00 pm there will be a hike with the wondeful heroes of the Nordic countries, in which participants will not only get acquainted with the characters, but also learn phrases related to Christmas in different foreign languages."

At 11:00 and at 14:30 we welcome everyone, both big and small, to take part in a master class on skis. The master class will be held by Daria Yurlova, who, as part of the Estonian national team, took part in the XXII Olympic Winter Games.

Guests can also visit the petting zoo and our lovely Christmas cafe. So come join us in this wonderful Christmas village full of surprises and activities for the whole family!
