Expert forum on the Protection of Victims of Human Trafficking

The two-day Expert Forum taking place on May 10-11 at Von Stackelberg hotel, Tallinn (Toompuiestee 23) will focus on the victims of human trafficking and invite experts from the Nordic and Baltic countries and North-West Russia to discuss the challenges of identification and rehabilitation of victims of all kinds of human trafficking, from sexual exploitation to forced labour.

Human trafficking cases with a focus on the victim will be presented by the experts – police officers, prosecutors, representatives of victim help systems and NGOs – involved in a case from the perspective of the country of origin and the country of destination.

The Forum will concentrate on help systems, rehabilitation, and reintegration of victims of human trafficking and discuss what kind of help victims need in order to leave the trafficking environment.

The forum is a meeting platform for experts and practitioners as representatives of the police, the social and health sectors, migration authorities, victim help systems, the labour market sector, prosecutors, researchers, decision-makers and NGOs working with victims of all forms of human trafficking.
