to the
Fourth Nordic Poetry
Festival in Estonia!
Springtime has
once again arrived together with the IV Nordic Poetry Festival 6-8
May. With unpredictable results the theory described by Ian Stewart
- the flapping of a single butterfly’s wing today produces
a tiny change
…- will emerge famous guests, not only well known Nordic poets,
but also poets from Latvia, Lithuania and Russia. This year we have
the great pleasure to present one of the best-known Russian poets,
Alexander Kushner.
Our own court-poet,
Eva Runefeldt, is present as usual and she will present her poetry
together with such famous Nordic poets like Pia Juul, Einar Mar
Guðmundsson and Claes Andersson, but also together with many
Estonian poets, both representing the older,more known generation
like Mats Traat and poets representing the rising generation.
In this program
you will find short presentations of the poets as well as the festival
program. Festival performances will as usual take place on different
and interesting stages, this year in Tallinn, Pärnu and Tartu.
I hope to meet you all at the festival and I wish you all a nice
spring surrounded by poems!
