Cybercation is a side event of the Telia Cyber Battle of Nordic-Baltic 2023, organized by the Nordic Council of Ministers' office in Estonia and CTF Tech.
Cybercation's focus this year is on gamified hacking, which has already significantly changed the teaching of cyber security, and which implementation the Telia Cyber Battle of Nordic-Baltics ethical hacking competition also contributes to. In addition, attendees will gain insight into the current landscape of cyber education—from curriculum development to cutting-edge tools.
The event is specially designed for educators, IT teachers, representatives of educational institutions, youth workers, information security and cyber education enthusiasts, government officials, policy makers and entrepreneurs. One of the goals of the forum is to create a network of experts, which helps to raise a generation of talented cyber experts in the Nordic and Baltic countries, who will make our region much more stable and secure.
The forum will feature several experts from the Nordic and Baltic countries, such as David Olgart, head of Cybercampus Sweden, Lauri Tankler, head of the Research and Development Coordination Department of the Estonian Information System Authority, Peer Heldgaard Kristensen, director of Security Tech Space (Denmark) and Mihkel Tikk, Deputy Commander at Estonian Defence Forces Cyber Command. In addition to experienced experts, Tamme Gymnasium students Kriset Lisette Margareth Laiuste and Pilleriin Sillakivi will also share their thoughts. The day will be moderated by Anett Numa, who is the government relations and communications manager of Accelerate Estonia, the Estonian national innovation laboratory.
