New issues of the Nordic Labour Journal and Green Growth the Nordic Way have been released.

The latest issue of the Nordic Labour Journal talks about how a Nordic country has achieved full gender equality, according to the webzine's barometer. In calculating gender balance the barometer considers 24 key positions of power in society in the Nordic countries. A total of 20 points is required for a country to be declared to have achieved full gender equality. Following the change of government last autumn, Norway now achieves a score of 22 on the barometer.

More information about the other countries in the region and more details about the barometer can be found in the latest issue of the journal, which provides useful reading for anyone involved in the Nordic labour market or researching work- and labour market-related issues.

The new issue of Green Growth the Nordic Way focusses on the bioeconomy. You can find out more about NordBio, an initiative of the Nordic Council of Ministers, which is aimed at better, smarter and more economical use of biological resources in the economy, producing as little waste as possible in the process.

The bioeconomy and NordBio will be discussed at a combined seminar and workshop entitled 'Establishing the bioeconomy in the Baltic Sea region' to be held at the Estonian Ministry of Agriculture in Tallinn on 26 & 27 March, to which everyone involved in the bioeconomy in the region is invited.
