The Nordic Council of Ministers is now inviting funding applications for projects involving co-operation in the Baltic Sea Region and North-West Russia. Projects should contribute to prosperous and peaceful development in the region by fostering close relationships between Nordic organisations and partners in North-West Russia and the Baltic Sea Region.

Build capacity and strengthen networks

As part of its international co-operation efforts, the Nordic Council of Ministers has opened a new round of applications for funding from two of its programmes – the programme for Nordic-Russian Co-operation and the programme for NGO co-operation in the Baltic Sea Region.

The programme for Nordic-Russian Co-operation includes the general open call and a dedicated pool for Civil Society & Human Rights Initiatives. The aim is to encourage initiatives that will build capacity and strengthen networks between respective partners.

Despite COVID-19 posing new challenges to cross-border co-operation, existing as well as innovative solutions and a proactive approach to achieving these objectives of mutual interest are welcomed.

Guidelines and deadlines

The programme for Nordic-Russian co-operation specifically focuses on co-operation between partners in the Nordic countries and seven regions in North-West Russia. The NGO programme funds projects in the entire Baltic Sea Region, including the Nordic countries, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Poland and Belarus.

The deadline for applications is 15th of June 2021 at 23:59:59 CET. Please read all about the two programmes and acquaint yourself with the guidelines for applications before submitting your proposal by following the link below.
