1st Inspiration Lunch: Believe and be passionate

Tuesday, 08 April 2014

Products only enjoy sales success if hard work goes in to selling them – this was the message that came out of the first ever Inspiration Lunch on 7 April, an initiative launched by the Finnish Institute, Creative Estonia and the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Estonia. Clever ways of launching products on foreign markets were showcased by Heikki Laaninen from 5th Wave Brands, Iiro Lahdenranta from Result Entertainment Group and Kadri Mäesalu from the natural cosmetics brand JOIK.

All of the speakers agreed that success requires a great deal of hard work. The event's moderator, Villu Arak, added with a wry smile that Estonians are very enthusiastic when it comes to telesales – waiting for someone to call and ask about the amazing product they've come up with and genuinely perplexed when the phone doesn't ring...

Iiro Lahdenranta, who represents a number of well-known Finnish musicians, explained that the groundwork of success is focussing on what you do best and skilful process management. Find out more in the overview compiled by Creative Estonia here (in Estonian).

The next Inspiration Lunch, whose theme will be major upheavals and bankruptcy, will be held on 28 April. For more details or to register for the event, click here.
