BALTECH - NORDTEK Joint Conference 2012
The BALTECH – NORDTEK Joint Conference 2012 is the first joint meeting BALTECH – NORDTEK, the networks of technical universities in the Nordic-Baltic region. The conference The Nordic - Baltic Region – an Area for Strategic Cooperation within the Knowledge Triangle will be hosted by Tallinn University of Technology in cooperation with the technical universities in Riga, Kaunas and Vilnius.
The aim of the conference is to look into on-going projects within education, research and innovation in the Nordic - Baltic region and to look into future and enhanced cooperation possibilities. Among the speakers of the conference are Prof. Jaak Aaviksoo, Minister of Education and Research of Estonia, and Mr Halldór Ásgrímsson, Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers, who's presentation I titled VISIONS of cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region within Education - Research – Innovation.
Tallinn University of Technology is the host of the event. The aim of the conference is to discuss about the current issues within R&D and education in the Baltic region, as well as open up for joint future strategies.
