Creative Industries focuses on art jewellery

Friday, 01 October 2010

The Nordic Council of Ministers' office in Estonia continues its creative industries lecture series with jewellery artists Margareth Sandström and Peter de Wit. Their works are exhibited and preserved in several museums and private collections all over the world. As entrepreneurs, these artists are very successful.

The Netherlands-rooted Peter de Wit and Swedish Margareth Sandström established their own jewellery business back in the 1970s, during a time of breaking taboos in art jewellery.

The lecture "Culture as entrepreneurship. Art jewellery" will take place on Wednesday, 7 January from 13.00-15.00 in the Tallinn City Archive. "Culture as entrepreneurship. Art jewellery" is the second lecture of the creative industries lecture series. In December the lecture series was launched with the help of Anders Sjöstedt, who gave the audience insight to the creative industries in Sweden.

At the meeting on 7 January, one can hear about how they have managed to reconcile doing business and creating artwork.

Pre-registration is required.
