There were a wide variety of projects, among them cultural and educational enterprises, an educational programme for disabled children and two projects orientated on equality. All Estonian NGOs can apply for a grant from this programme, but it is necessary that they cooperate with at least three NGOs and that one of them must be from the Nordic countries. The third one can also reside in the same country as the participating NGO. Sums that can applied for: 20 000 – 75 000 DKK NGOs from the Baltic Sea area can also apply for a grant, but in that case it is necessary that they cooperate with three NGOs: one from the Nordic countries, one from Russia or Belarus and one from the Baltic countries or Poland. The Nordic Council of Ministers received 11 international applications for a project by the deadline of March 15, 2007. The council decided to support six of them with a total amount of half a million EEK. |
