Various small to mid-scale businesses in Harju County are interested in launching and expanding exports of their products and services, say Aarne Leisalu (project manager, Ph.D. ) and Raul Kaldre (business consultant) in the 3 January edition of county newspaper Harju Elu.

"Harju County Entrepreneurship and Development Consultancy (HEAK) in cooperation with foreign partners and with the financial support of the Nordic Council of Ministers and Enterprise Estonia has launched a pilot project to assist small and mid-scale businesses in Harju County in initiating and expanding foreign cooperation with the aim of improving the welfare of the county's residents through business success and increased employment," the article states.

"Metal companies in Harju County participated in their first contact trip to the Uusimaa region in Finland on 20 & 21 November, involving the directors of six businesses from the project's entrepreneur panel – FinEst Steel AS from Saue, Extrememet OÜ from Loo, Saku Tehno Metall OÜ from Saku, Vertex Estonia AS and Raudar Metal Works OÜ from Tallinn and FerrMix Construction from Viimsi," Leisalu and Kaldre explain. Similar contact trips are planned in January to Denmark and in February to Sweden.
