A network seminar of regions was held on the initiative of Lääne-Viru County Government in November last year. The seminar took place in Rakvere with the support of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility and Network Programme for Business and Industry and was attended by representatives of Jönköping (Sweden), Dobele (Latvia) and Kymenlaakso (Finland), reports the 23 January edition of Virumaa Teataja. The attendees from each region represented business, education and the public sector.

"Mati Jõgi, the head of the Development and Planning Department of the County Government, said that several project ideas were born as a result of the seminar and that the participants would try to implement them via joint project applications this year or next," the newspaper reports. "Development of the creative economy with the inclusion of educational institutions, young people and entrepreneurs is one project idea the participants came up with. The interest of vocational schools in the regions is to continue cooperation in the development of innovation and enterprise to support their graduates in becoming good entrepreneurs."
